The Hans and Pat Bjorklund Scholarships for studies in Scandinavia are now accepting applications, the New Zealand Scandinavian Business Association is pleased to announce. The scholarship will be given for the 2023–2024 school year.
This award is specifically provided to help degree-seeking students expand their knowledge and experience in areas including business, political, and/or cultural ties. To be considered, students must submit an application to study at a university or institution in one of the five Scandinavian nations. The scholarship is worth $3,000 New Zealand dollars.
The successful applicant will be expected to share his or her learnings and experiences with NZSBA, its members, and the larger community, as well as to aid in the promotion of the Scholarship, in order to increase the knowledge and experience obtained from the Scholarship. When presenting the Scholarship to the chosen applicant, NZSBA will confirm the precise conditions.
A solid collaboration with the New Zealand Scandinavian Business Association exists because of shared principles. By stretching the boundaries of conventional thinking and taking unorthodox paths in search of better results, New Zealanders and Scandinavians have developed the tradition of pathfinding enterprise.

CRITERIA FOR ELIGIBILITY
To be eligible for Hans and Pat Bjorklund Scholarships, the applicants must meet all the following/given criteria:
- The applicants must be interested in studies and/or working experience in Scandinavia.
Eligible Countries: Students from Scandinavian countries.
Eligible Course or Subjects: Degree programmes in subjects deemed important for cultural, political, and/or business relationships between New Zealand and the five Scandinavian (Nordic) countries can be applied for.
STEPS FOR APPLICATION
How to Apply: Students must secure admission in their desired university. Then, they must submit a scholarship application form separately to be considered.
Supporting Documents: The students are required to present the following documents to the university:
- Motivation letter
- Personal essay
- English language proof
- Academic transcripts
- Letters of recommendation
- Other necessary documents
Admission Requirements: The applicants must meet the admission requirements of the university or college they want to join.
Language Requirement: The students must meet the English language requirements of their respective universities or college.
